With a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, you’ll have consistent hours and the chance to work with a diverse student population, adapting and growing your instructional skills as you collaborate with faculty district-wide. Position Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois teaching certification in Visual Impairment or Orientation & Mobility (TVI/O&M)
- Previous experience supporting visually impaired students in educational settings preferred
- Adaptable, organized, and willing to collaborate with multiple schools and teams
- Effective communicator with strong problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized educational services to students with visual impairments across three schools
- Provide O&M instruction to support student independence in daily environments at three additional schools
- Collaborate with general and special education teams to develop and implement student-specific plans
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
