Flexible schedules are available based on your assigned campus, generally within an 8am-4pm window, ensuring a balanced and professional environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Arizona teaching license with TVI endorsement required
- Experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with best practices, braille, assistive technology, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ability to travel between multiple campuses as part of an itinerant assignment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with staff, families, and service providers
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and perform assessments for students with visual impairments
- Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers
- Develop and update IEP goals, attending meetings as required
- Provide training on accessible materials and adaptive technologies
- Advocate for student needs while maintaining documentation and compliance with district standards
