1:1 1:1 Pediatric TVI - Providence, Rhode Island
Support students’ educational journey as a Visually Impaired Teacher in a full-time, on-site role near Providence, RI. Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
- State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired is mandatory
- Previous experience working 1:1 with pediatric students preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability and strong organizational skills to manage individualized plans
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support for visually impaired students on a 1:1 basis
- Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to suit individual student needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and family members to ensure cohesive educational planning
- Assess and monitor student progress toward Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and help design student-centered educational plans
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the school
