1:1 Pediatric 1:1 Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Warwick, Rhode Island

Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
• Active state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Previous experience working 1:1 with pediatric students preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Reliable, flexible, and comfortable working in a long-term assignment
• Adaptable to new environments and open to working as a travel professional

Primary Responsibilities:
• Deliver individualized instruction and facilitate the educational goals of a visually impaired student
• Implement and adapt curriculum materials to suit specific learning needs
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and family members to support holistic student progress
• Monitor and record student’s progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting strategies as needed
• Ensure compliance with IEP requirements and state educational standards
• Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding best practices for supporting visually impaired learners
