Qualifications and Skills:
- Current and valid TVI educator license
- Experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or equivalent role
- Ability to work districtwide in an itinerant (traveling) capacity
- Skilled in collaborating with school teams, parents, and external providers
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Strong understanding of adaptive technologies and differentiated instruction
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
- Assess and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide resources, training, and support to staff and families
- Facilitate access to the curriculum through adaptive materials and assistive technology
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and related services
- Travel between assigned schools within the district as necessary
