1:1 Pediatric Long-Term Teacher of Visually Impaired in Santa Fe, NM

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) is required.
- Must hold a current state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a 1:1 or special education setting.
- Strong ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods to individual student needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and specialists.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized instruction and facilitate learning experiences for students with visual impairments on a 1:1 basis.
- Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in coordination with school staff and parents.
- Assess student progress and recommend appropriate tools, materials, and assistive technology.
- Foster independent skills and support inclusion in classroom and school activities.
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with all educational standards.
