1:1 Pediatric 1:1 Teacher for the Visually Impaired - White Rock, New Mexico

Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
- Active state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Experience working 1:1 with pediatric students is highly desired
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to individual learner needs
- Willingness and ability to travel for this assignment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized educational services and support to a visually impaired student in a school setting
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals to implement IEP goals
- Provide ongoing assessment and monitor student progress
- Teach and reinforce assistive technology use for access to curriculum
- Develop and adapt materials to accommodate student’s visual needs
- Communicate with families, ensuring transparent updates and advocacy for student success
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
