This part-time, onsite opportunity calls for an experienced Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) who is passionate about making a difference. You’ll work with a dedicated caseload of approximately eight students, delivering a variety of specialized services each week to meet their unique educational needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State TVI certification required
  • Compliance with OSPI fingerprinting standards
  • Demonstrated experience working with visually impaired students in school settings
  • Strong skills in adapting curriculum and providing assistive technology support
  • Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
  • Experience delivering both direct instruction and consultative services preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support, on campus, to students who are visually impaired or blind
  • Adapt general education materials and recommend appropriate assistive technology
  • Assess student needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate documentation of services and student progress
  • Consult regularly with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
  • Remain onsite and available for approximately 15 hours per week, delivering a range of weekly, monthly, and quarterly service minutes
