Location: Aurora, CO
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support for students with visual impairments and orthopedic impairments.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote services where applicable.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educational teams and families to promote student progress.
- Conduct orientation and mobility training to aid student independence.
- Monitor and report on student growth and adjust strategies accordingly.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure to teach students with visual impairments and/or orthopedic impairments.
- Experience with telehealth instructional delivery or willingness to adapt to remote education technologies.
- Strong understanding of orientation and mobility techniques.
- Effective communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
