Virtual Teacher of Visually Impaired in SC
A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available, offering the option to work virtually or onsite in Elgin, SC. This role supports students from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade, working alongside educational professionals who specialize in visual impairment.
Key responsibilities include providing speech therapy services during school hours, from 8:00 AM to 3:10 PM, with an expected commitment of approximately 15 hours per week. Scheduling may be flexible to align with the Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) calendar. The caseload is intentionally kept small, allowing for focused and effective intervention.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology certification (SLP; no Clinical Fellowship or SLPA candidates)
- Ability to deliver services via telehealth or in person
- Experience working with students from pre-kindergarten through middle school preferred
- Flexibility to adjust hours based on team needs, particularly in coordination with TVI schedules
- Openness to using VOCO technology for service delivery
