- Ability to adapt curriculum and materials for accessibility and provide direct instruction in the expanded core curriculum
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to a caseload of preschool-aged students with visual impairments
- Assess students’ needs using formal and informal measures to help develop suitable educational and behavioral strategies
- Offer consultative support to classroom teachers and families, ensuring each student's full participation and engagement
- Design, modify, and implement adapted curriculum and tactile learning materials
- Monitor progress and maintain clear records to inform educational planning and reporting
- Contribute actively to IEP meetings, guiding teams on best practices and accommodations for each student
- Provide guidance in developing orientation and mobility skills for young learners
