Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Knowledge of braille, assistive technology, and accessible educational materials

- Ability to foster independence, confidence, and self-advocacy in students
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support based on students’ unique visual needs, both in individual and group settings
- Adapt curriculum and classroom materials to ensure accessibility and equitable learning opportunities
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Serve as a resource to school staff on best practices and accommodations for visually impaired students
