Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
- State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) is mandatory
- Previous experience supporting children with visual impairments, ideally in a 1:1 or small-group setting
- Strong communication skills, patience, and resourcefulness
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the individual needs of visually impaired students
- Willingness to work collaboratively with educational staff, therapists, and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to a pediatric student with visual impairment in accordance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Develop accessible instructional materials, such as braille and tactile graphics
- Assess and document student progress; adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Consult with classroom teachers and related service providers to facilitate integration and appropriate accommodations

- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
