Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired with a valid state credential
• Experience working 1:1 with pediatric students preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to provide specialized support in a school or similar educational setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and accommodations for a visually impaired student
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the student’s educational goals and IEP
• Adapt materials and classroom activities to maximize access and engagement
• Work closely with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a positive, supportive environment that promotes student independence
