This full-time contract position is open to two dedicated professionals with specialized expertise in visual impairment education. Flexible scheduling may be available for exceptional part-time candidates. You’ll work closely with a diverse caseload of elementary, middle, and high school students—ensuring continuity and meaningful relationships as caseloads are thoughtfully divided. The itinerant nature of these roles is balanced by strategic school assignments within compact geographic areas, minimizing travel time and maximizing student engagement.

Qualifications:
- Active DOE certification
- At least five years of experience as a Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired for virtual roles
- Proficiency in Braille and assistive technology
- Familiarity with the Federal Quota program (preferred)
- Willingness to travel between schools in an assigned region
- Commitment to collaborative IEP planning and implementation
- Fingerprint clearance as required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and consultation for K-12+ students with visual impairments
- Support curriculum and technology access, including Chromebooks
- Develop, monitor, and participate in IEPs
- Travel efficiently between school sites
