1:1 Pediatric Assistive Technology Specialist Therapist (AT) - Benton City, WA
Take your nursing expertise into the classroom by supporting a student with complex medical needs as a 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) on a full-time contract basis near Benton City, WA. As an integral part of the school day, you’ll manage all clinical and care needs, including hands-on interventions and assistive technology support, ensuring the student’s safety from transportation through the final bell. Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license in Washington State
- Previous experience in pediatric or school nursing, especially 1:1 care
- Skilled in assistive technology for student care and accessibility needs
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and adapt to a dynamic school environment
- Familiarity with individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and collaboration with educational teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 1:1 care and supervision for a student throughout the school day and bus transportation
- Implement medical orders and interventions—including the use or management of assistive technologies
- Support the student’s participation in classroom activities and all school-related events
- Monitor health status, respond promptly to changes, and maintain accurate health records
- Partner with school staff, therapists, and families to support the student’s educational and health goals
- Adhere to district protocols and professional nursing standards at all times
