Key Qualifications:
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Prior experience in pediatric or school nursing, particularly in 1:1 settings
- Demonstrated proficiency with assistive technology in school environments
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond quickly to changing medical situations
- Passion for supporting medically fragile students in educational settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one, individualized nursing care for a designated student from approximately 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Monitor and manage chronic medical conditions per physician’s orders, administering medications and interventions as needed
- Provide hands-on assistance and supervision during transportation on the special education bus and during all school-related activities
- Employ and manage assistive technology or adaptive equipment that supports student access and participation in the curriculum
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate with families, educators, and clinical team members
- Promote a safe, inclusive environment and empower the student’s independence wherever possible
