Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state and educational licensure in Assistive Technology or a related field
- Previous experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting
- Strong foundation in providing assistive technology assessments, device implementation, and follow-up
- Skilled in developing and managing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and educators
- Familiarity with curriculum modifications and classroom accessibility solutions
- Experience managing documentation and compliance requirements for due process
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional evaluations and assistive technology consultations
- Write comprehensive IEPs and track student progress over time
- Recommend and manage the use of AT or AAC devices to support student learning
- Collaborate closely with school teams to ensure student access and academic success
- Offer training and guidance to faculty on assistive technology best practices
- Maintain up-to-date records to comply with district and state requirements
- Provide direct and indirect support as an itinerant resource across multiple classrooms
