Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid state licensure and required educational credentials for Assistive Technology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing and evaluating Assistive Technology (AT) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
  • Experience conducting functional evaluations and writing individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students across K-12 grade levels.
  • Previous work within a school-based or itinerant support setting highly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive AT evaluations and provide actionable recommendations for curriculum adaptations and classroom accessibility using the latest technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and educators to support and foster student independence.
  • Draft and monitor IEPs focused on integrating appropriate AT tools.
  • Offer ongoing consultation to school staff and families about device selection and instructional strategies.
  • Track and report on student progress, ensuring compliance with due process requirements.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), onsite role that offers a unique chance to make a significant impact in a diverse and inclusive educational environment.
