In this position, you'll conduct technology evaluations, collaborate with educators and therapy professionals, and directly influence educational planning and implementation for students who benefit from assistive and augmentative communication devices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current state and education licensure required
- Strong background with assistive technology and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) solutions
- At least one year’s experience supporting K-12 students in educational settings preferred
- Ability to conduct functional evaluations and write detailed, individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive evaluations and consultations to recommend technology that supports curriculum modifications and classroom accessibility for students with diverse needs
- Conduct and document functional assistive technology evaluations for due process cases
- Develop, write, and monitor individualized education plans in partnership with student teams
- Collaborate closely with occupational/physical therapists and classroom teachers to integrate technology solutions
- Deliver onsite support to ensure students are making progress and that technology tools are effectively utilized across academic environments
