- Ability to adapt curriculum and materials for accessibility
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ visual needs
- Work with general and special education staff to create inclusive learning environments
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to maximize outcomes
- Train and support classroom teachers in accessibility accommodations and modifications
- Guide students in the use of assistive technologies for learning, communication, and daily living skills
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional vision and needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on goals and strategies for success
