Qualifications and Desired Experience
- Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Special Education, Visual Impairments, or related field
- Experience developing and implementing individualized educational programs (IEPs) for visually impaired students
- Strong knowledge of Braille, adaptive technology, and assistive devices
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with teachers, staff, and families
- Passion for supporting the growth and independence of students with visual impairments
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments across grade levels
- Adapt general education curriculum and materials to meet diverse learning needs
