Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) certification with Vision Impairment/TVI endorsement
  • Experience designing and delivering instruction for visually impaired students; prior work with middle schoolers is a plus
  • Ability to consult on assistive technology and accessible materials
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction for a 6th-grade student with a visual impairment according to IEP requirements (2 individual, 30-minute sessions per month)
  • Adapt and supply accessible materials and guidance for classroom teachers
  • Monitor and report on student progress, collaborating closely with school staff
  • Provide ongoing consultation on accessibility and accommodations, including assistive technology
  • Ensure compliance with IEP services and district guidelines
