Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) certification with Vision Impairment/TVI endorsement
- Experience designing and delivering instruction for visually impaired students; prior work with middle schoolers is a plus
- Ability to consult on assistive technology and accessible materials
- Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction for a 6th-grade student with a visual impairment according to IEP requirements (2 individual, 30-minute sessions per month)
- Adapt and supply accessible materials and guidance for classroom teachers
- Monitor and report on student progress, collaborating closely with school staff
- Provide ongoing consultation on accessibility and accommodations, including assistive technology
- Ensure compliance with IEP services and district guidelines
