- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting curriculum to individual needs
- Conduct student assessments and participate in the IEP process
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, aides, therapists, and families
- Provide guidance and training for staff on best practices and accommodations
- Help select and implement assistive technology and adaptive materials
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each student
- Serve as an advocate for visually impaired students across school settings
