Key Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments

- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to assess student needs and adapt curriculum accordingly
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create customized lesson plans to address both the academic and functional needs of students
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ strengths, challenges, and progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and family members to ensure comprehensive support
- Facilitate access to Braille, large print, auditory, and technology-based learning tools
- Advocate for necessary classroom accommodations and modifications
- Deliver direct instruction as well as consultative services
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
