- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with federal/state special education guidelines is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess student abilities and needs through formal and informal evaluations.
- Develop and deliver specialized instruction to meet IEP goals.
- Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments to ensure accessibility.
- Provide direct instruction in Braille, orientation and mobility, and use of assistive technology.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students, teachers, and parents.
- Assist in transitions between grade levels and educational settings.
- Monitor student progress, maintaining precise records and providing regular updates to the educational team.
