Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Proven experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments

- Strong communication skills for collaboration with classroom teachers, aides, and families
- Commitment to fostering independence and confidence in students with visual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to a group of 20 students with visual impairments
- Develop, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) focused on visual accessibility and growth
- Instruct in core content areas as well as expanded core curriculum specific to visually impaired students
- Collaborate closely with classroom staff, related service providers, and family members to ensure consistent support
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Serve as a vital resource on best practices and tools for accessibility across the school setting
