- Strong skills in braille, orientation and mobility, assistive technology, and curriculum adaptation
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments in accordance with IEP goals
- Assess and document student needs, progress, and accommodations
- Collaborate with general and special education staff to adapt materials and strategies
- Support students with orientation, mobility, daily living skills, and assistive technology
- Engage with families and other professionals to facilitate student success and independence
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
