Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Holds appropriate certification/licensure for teaching students with visual impairments.
- Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired strongly preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with other educators and support staff.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Committed to creating accessible and engaging learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction to students with visual impairments (24 students, ages/grades as assigned).
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, aides, and related service providers.
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and ongoing communication with families.
- Provide direct and consultative services during the hours of 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
