Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Proven experience providing instruction to students with visual impairments in an educational setting

- Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ abilities and educational goals
- Teach and reinforce Braille literacy, orientation and mobility skills, and adaptive technologies
- Work closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Regularly assess and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize learning outcomes
- Advocate for student needs and provide ongoing consultation to ensure students have necessary accommodations
