- Ability to assess student needs and adapt curricula accordingly
- Flexibility and organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional vision assessments and contribute to IEP development
- Provide direct specialized instruction to students with visual impairments
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support access to the general curriculum
- Train staff and family members in the use of adaptive equipment and techniques
- Monitor student progress and modify instruction as needed
- Document services and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
