Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
  • Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
  • Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in a 1:1 or pediatric setting, preferred
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with educational teams, families, and specialists
  • Commitment to supporting students through innovative, adaptable teaching methods
  • Open to travel professionals, with full-time, on-site availability

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to a visually impaired student in alignment with individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Develop and implement adapative teaching strategies and accessible materials
  • Monitor, assess, and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic student support
  • Advocate for student needs and access to resources within the school environment
  • Participate in school meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning for student success
