Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Fishers, Indiana

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Indiana state licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (VI) is required.
- Demonstrated experience working with students who are Blind or have Low Vision is highly preferred.
- Ability to provide one-on-one instructional and adaptive support.
- Strong understanding of Braille, assistive technologies, and accessible instructional materials.
- Comfortable collaborating with general and special education teams.
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized support and instruction for a 10th-grade female student with Blind Low Vision.
- Adapt curriculum and classroom materials utilizing assistive technology and Braille as needed.
- Monitor and document student progress toward academic and independence goals.
- Implement strategies for self-advocacy and life skills development.
- Partner with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate a coordinated approach to learning.
