Your expertise as a certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) will play an essential role in empowering students and collaborating with educators and families.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience working with students across a range of ages and grade levels
  • Strong knowledge of adapted instruction and assessment methods suitable for visually impaired learners
  • Proven ability to implement IEP goals while meeting district and state requirements
  • Confident communication skills to thrive in multidisciplinary team settings

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and deliver individualized instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of each student with visual impairments
  • Conduct ongoing formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching plans as needed
  • Prepare for and actively participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings, providing insightful input for student planning
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure student success in both resource and inclusion settings
  • Maintain accurate student documentation and reports in accordance with all regulations
