Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active North Carolina Teacher of Visually Impaired (TVI) certification required
- Prior experience working as a VI Teacher or similar role in educational settings

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Flexible, patient, and passionate about supporting students with diverse visual needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students (20-23 total) with varying levels of visual impairment
- Assess individual student needs and develop tailored instructional strategies
- Collaborate with general educators, parents, and specialist staff to ensure inclusivity and accessibility
- Monitor and report on student progress, making data-informed adjustments as necessary
- Advocate for appropriate resources, accommodations, and modifications to facilitate student success in the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of individualized goals
