Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
- Valid state-issued Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification
- Experience supporting students with visual impairments, preferably in a school setting
- Strong background in individualized instruction and adapting educational materials
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills
- Willingness to work one-on-one with a pediatric learner for the duration of the assignment
- Flexibility to work on-site and adapt to school environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized, 1:1 instruction to a visually impaired student in a school setting
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the child's individual learning needs
- Adapt and modify classroom materials, leveraging assistive technology as needed
- Monitor progress, track data, and adjust instructional strategies to maximize learning
