Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License
- Possess specialized K-12 Certification or Endorsement in Visually Impaired Special Education
- Active IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required
- Strong background teaching students with visual impairments in school settings
- Ability to adapt instruction to varied learning environments and needs
- Exhibit excellent communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and resources for students with visual impairments across multiple campuses
- Develop and implement individualized education programs aligned with student needs and goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, families, and other specialists to maximize student success
- Conduct functional vision assessments and recommend appropriate classroom accommodations
- Support students in building skills for academic, functional, and independent living
- Maintain up-to-date records and ensure compliance with state and district policies
