Key Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Educator Certificate for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Previous experience as a TVI or related role supporting students with visual impairments
- Commitment to accurate daily documentation of services provided
- Adaptable to meet a variety of age groups and student needs (caseload determined post-interview)
- Willing to work onsite—remote/VOCO applicants will not be considered
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to students whose vision impacts their learning
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress reports
- Maintain daily service logs and consistently document student progress
- Advocate for student access and inclusion across the curriculum
