Teacher for the Visually Impaired - Midland, Georgia

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide onsite services in a dynamic educational environment near Midland, GA. This position spans the academic year, beginning August 3rd, 2026, and ending May 21st, 2027, with possible pre- and post-planning days. Full-time hours are anticipated (at least 37.5 hours per week), with consideration for part-time availability based on the needs and experience of selected candidates.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid Georgia Educator Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Demonstrated experience working with students who are visually impaired, preferably in educational settings
- Strong communication and documentation skills, including daily log maintenance to record services provided
- Flexibility in working with various age groups; specific assignments to be matched with candidate’s strengths during the interview process
- Commitment to onsite work—remote/VOCO candidates are not being considered
- Ability to adapt to fluctuating caseloads and collaborate with school staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with visual impairments, supporting them in achieving educational goals
- Partner closely with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement appropriate instructional strategies and adaptations
- Complete timely and accurate documentation of student progress and daily service logs
- Participate in team meetings, pre/post-year planning, and related school activities as needed
- Maintain compliance with all school district and state requirements
