Key Qualifications:
- Holds valid OH TVI certification.
- Experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired or relevant background working with visually impaired students.
- Committed to adapting teaching methods and materials for diverse ages and learning situations.
- Willingness to travel between different school buildings as needed.
- Comfortable providing services in both in-school and occasional homebound settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to visually impaired students across various ages and caseloads.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Travel to different school buildings to provide on-site support when required.
- Support students both in the classroom environment and, when needed, in a homebound setting.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure comprehensive care and instruction.
- Monitor student progress and update plans as necessary.
