Position Details

- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- 40 Hours Per Week
- Onsite Position Only
Caseload & Assignment
- Floater School Nurse Position
- Support multiple school campuses as needed
- Campuses are located within close proximity
- Furthest campus is approximately 6 miles apart
- Grade Levels: K-12
- Provide health services coverage across assigned school locations
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and health assessments for students
- Manage student health records and medication administration
- Respond to illness, injuries, and medical emergencies
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
- Monitor and support students with chronic health conditions
- Ensure compliance with school health policies and state regulations
- Promote student wellness and a safe school environment
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License
- Previous School-Based Nursing Experience Required
- Reliable Transportation Required
- Ability to travel between assigned campuses
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work the full required schedule without accommodation
Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of fingerprinting and CORI background screening
- Must meet all district onboarding requirements prior to start date
