- Skilled in adapting standard curriculum and creating individualized resources for visually impaired learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, tailoring lessons to their unique needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service staff, and families to maximize student access and success
- Conduct functional vision assessments and help develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver orientation, mobility, and adaptive technology supports as appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt instructional methods as necessary
- Advocate for student needs and help foster a supportive, inclusive environment
