Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid credential in teaching students with visual impairments
- Experience working in a school-based setting or with children/youth who are visually impaired
- Knowledge of specialized instructional strategies, assistive technology, and braille
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Passion for advocacy and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative instruction to students with varying degrees of visual impairment
- Adapt curriculum materials and develop accessible resources
- Conduct assessments and write comprehensive reports
