Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to adapt curriculum, deliver specialized instruction, and promote independence for your students both in and out of the classroom.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

  • Current Massachusetts Visually Impaired License is required
  • Previous experience working with students who are visually impaired is highly valued
  • Solid understanding of accessible educational tools, assistive technology, and adaptive strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with students, families, and school staff
  • Flexibility and creativity in delivering instruction tailored to individual needs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments for accessibility
  • Conduct assessments to determine student needs and recommend accommodations
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure inclusion
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting and progress monitoring
  • Provide guidance on the use of assistive technology and orientation/mobility strategies

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.25 to $60.25. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
