Long-Term 1:1 Pediatric Teacher for the Visually Impaired | Minneapolis, Minnesota

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
- Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Experience working with children in a 1:1 educational setting preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working collaboratively with school staff, families, and support professionals
- Open to travel professionals seeking a valuable new opportunity
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized instruction to a pediatric student with visual impairment
- Adapt curriculum materials and classroom activities to support student accessibility and learning
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings and updates
- Serve as an advocate for the student’s educational needs within the school community
- Assist with orientation and mobility as appropriate
