Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
- State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired is mandatory
- Prior experience in a school setting or within pediatric environments is strongly preferred

- Ability to develop customized educational materials, interventions, and assistive technology solutions
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one support and individualized instruction to visually impaired students in collaboration with broader educational teams
- Adapt curriculum and learning activities to meet the unique needs of the student(s), ensuring access to all instructional materials and resources
- Serve as a knowledgeable advocate for students, offering guidance to staff and families on best practices and assistive technologies
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, confidential records consistent with school and state guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support students in maximizing their independence both academic and daily living skills
