Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) required
• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Enthusiasm for working one-on-one with students to deliver personalized instruction

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instructional support to a visually impaired student in accordance with their Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure the student’s unique needs are met
• Utilize specialized materials and adaptive technologies to facilitate student participation in daily activities
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters confidence and independence
