Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments across a variety of grade levels
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to each student’s needs
- Adapt curriculum materials into accessible formats, including large print, braille, and auditory options
- Offer support and training to classroom teachers and staff to promote full participation of visually impaired students
- Work with families to ensure continuity of services and reinforce learning at home
- Participate in IEP meetings, document student progress, and adjust interventions as needed
- Stay current with best practices, new technologies, and state/federal regulations related to visual impairment education
