Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active, standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License
- Specialized Visually Impaired Special Education, K–12 Certificate or endorsement
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Card
- Previous experience or demonstrated success working with visually impaired students in a K–12 setting
- Flexibility to support students onsite and openness to occasional virtual services
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organization skills
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Delivering adapted instruction and supporting individualized education plans for visually impaired students across several locations
- Collaborating with general education teachers, administrators, and families to ensure an inclusive, accessible learning environment
- Advocating for the unique needs and success of each student in your caseload
- Creating and implementing effective strategies to foster student independence
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, making adjustments to instruction as needed
