Essential Qualifications:
- Valid California TVI Educator Certification
- Previous experience supporting visually impaired students in a K-12 educational setting is highly desirable
- Passion for developing individualized educational plans and adapting curriculum materials
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to K-12 students with visual impairments
- Assess students’ functional vision and learning needs to inform instruction
- Adapt classroom materials and technology for accessibility
- Work closely with general and special education teachers to ensure accommodations are met
- Engage families in supporting their child’s educational goals and progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the district and state standards
