Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential authorizing Visual Impairments; or
  • California teaching credential with authorization for teaching visually handicapped students (EL CLAD)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting
  • Ability to commit to full onsite work (not open to virtual/hybrid models)

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering engaging, individualized instruction to visually impaired students
  • Collaborating with regular education teachers and families for inclusive practices
  • Developing and modifying educational materials to ensure accessibility
  • Monitoring, documenting, and reporting student progress through the school year
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP processes
